Bangkok, Thailand – W Hotels will “Take a Stance” and reaffirm its commitment to diversity, equality, inclusion, and LGBTQIA+ rights this June, as it celebrates Pride Month in Thailand with a series of exciting, inspiring and empowering activities in Bangkok and Koh Samui.

To celebrate Pride Month 2024, W Hotels’ two luxury lifestyle properties in Thailand – W Bangkok and W Koh Samui – have revealed an exciting line-up of activities, including interviews with leading LGBTQIA+ figures in Thailand, plus educational workshops, art exhibitions and other events to highlight the ongoing challenges faced by the community, along with fabulous DJ parties, drag performances and colorful cocktail events.

At W Bangkok, the celebrations start from June 1 with a W Drag Brunch, followed by an evening of immersive and meaningful activities on June 7. Shining the spotlight on LGBTQIA+ topics, this launch event will feature Lean-In Interviews with people who are making a real difference in the community, including half-Thai, half-Swedish actor and model Rasameekae Fagerlund, Thai transgender actress, comedian and emcee Jennie Panhan, Thailand’s top drag superstar Natalia Pliacam, local artist Pui Surachai Saengsuwan, and same-sex couple Fang & Hong, who will share their experiences. Guests can join for an evening Cocktail Hour, an inclusive, community where they can connect with local tastemakers, mixologists and a live DJ. W After Dark will showcase a dazzling drag performance and upbeat DJ tunes! 

Throughout June, visitors can discover the thought-provoking work of Surachai Saengsuwan at the pop-up Queer Art Gallery and pour for pride drink at W Lounge.

At W Koh Samui, a full month of activities await, including a sharing session designed to celebrate love and inspiration in all its forms. Other highlights include two vibrant W Does Brunch: Pride Theme events on June 15 and 22, an Art Gallery exhibition from June 14 to16, daily DJ sets, and a Pour for Pride cocktail menu available all month long at WOOBAR®. A limited series of “I stand for” Pride postcards will also be placed in all villas.
